Mission to Israel

Dear friend!

I am happy to invite you to join our upcoming CPDH-organised International Project on February 7th-12th, 2012.

This invitation is open for politicians, young leaders, students, political activists and inquisitive private persons, so *we would appreciate if you would share it with your organisation’s e-mail list and with your personal friends.

Enclosed please find the program of the project as well as a registration form to be sent *as soon as possible* by each participant to .

Senior Israeli officials, political leaders, representatives of Israeli state authorities, local government officials, scholars and young activists will participate in the program.

The deadline for registration is January 16th, 2012.

All meetings TBC. Final program will be sent after the registration, before any payment. In case of any change we guarantee at least the same level of meetings.

Participation fee for a *foreign *participant who submits a  registration form *until the deadline*, will be only 600 Euros / 750 $  (USD), which should be paid for the program itself and for full accommodation in Israel.

Participation fee for an *Israeli *participant who submits a  registration form *until the deadline*,will be only 1,100 NIS (Shekels), which should be paid for the program itself and for accommodation from Friday (Feb 10th) to Sunday (Feb 12th).

You can obtain a cumulative discount of up to 20% if you meet the following conditions:
- If you are a student (5% off);
- If your age is under 35 years / over 60 years (5% off);
- If you are a member of a political party in your country (5% off);
- If you are active in Jewish community where you live (5% off);
- If you served in the IDF. (5% off).
- If your country was in the former Eastern Bloc <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Bloc> / If you immigrated to Israel in the last 10 years] (5% off).

If any places remain after the deadline, the fee for late registration will increase by 50 Euro /  60 $ (USD) / 250 NIS (Shekels) per participant.

We suggest asking the Jewish community and / or the Israeli embassy in your country whether they can help you by sponsoring part of this visit.

11:30 – Travel back in time in the Old City,   JerusalemVia Dolorosa to Church of the Holy Sepulcher, [13:00] the Western Wall and adjacent tunnels.

14:25 – Israeli participants join the group at Jaffa Gate.

14:30: Burekas Lunch on the bus for [16:00] Observation to Gaza Strip.

18:00 – On the bus to meet [19:00] Lt. Gen. (ret.) Gabi Ashkenazi, former Chief of General Staff at IDF, with students from the Hebrew U of Jerusalem + [20:30] Dinner, Dan Gardens,   Ashkelon.

09:00 – Tour at Yad VaShem Holocaust Museum.

12:00 – Security Check,[12:30] Lunch & [13:00] Meeting with Spokesman Yigal Palmor  MFA.

12:00 – Israeli participants join the group at the entrance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

14:30 – Security Check, [15:00] Tour & [15:30] Knesset's Birthday Reception with MK Yoel (Yuli) Edelstein, Minister of Public Diplomacy (Likud Party); Mr. Hilik Bar, Secretary General of the Israeli Labor Party; & Mr. Oren Magnezy, International Secretary of Kadima Party.

17:30 – Guided tour of the Supreme Court of Israel.

19:00 – Visit to Bank of Israel's Educational Visitors Centre.

21:00 – Falafel Supper & [Optional] Observation from Mount of Olives to the Old City.
